The title is also a subtle homage to the Tao Te Ching, one of the world’s oldest and most revered spiritual texts. In Chinese, Te can be translated as “virtue,” “power,” or “integrity,” while Ching means “classic” or “scripture.” Together, Te Ching refers to the classic of the Way and its embodied expression — a sacred teaching on how to live in alignment with the eternal Tao, the Way of all things.
